Dr. Allred is a board certified Anatomic Pathologist who is currently Professor and Director of Breast Pathology at Washington University School of Medicine St. Louis Missouri.
Dr. Allred received his medical degree from the University of Utah College of Medicine. He completed his Internship and Residency in Anatomic Pathology and his Fellowship in Immunopathology at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Allred has also held academic appointments at University of Connecticut Health Center the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
His research interests include translational research in breast cancer emphasizing the development and prognosis of premalignant breast disease and prognostic and predictive biomarkers in invasive breast cancer. He is active in the College of American Pathologists United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology American Society of Investigative Pathology American Association for Cancer Research Southwest Oncology Group and National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project. Dr. Allred is a well known lecturer and has also authored and co-authored many articles that can be found in leading peer review journals including Journal of the National Cancer Institute Cancer Research Oncogene Clinical Cancer Research Endocrinology Molecular Endocrinology and the Proceedings of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. |
