Description of Practice:
Craig D. Swanson is a partner in the San Diego office. His practice focuses on the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing and financing of regional malls; specialty, power and neighborhood shopping centers; industrial projects; office buildings; and other commercial and mixed-use projects. Mr. Swanson's clients include some of the nation's leading real estate development and retail companies. Having negotiated the sale of numerous regional malls throughout the United States, Mr. Swanson is particularly well-versed in anticipating and addressing the needs of his clients in both the acquisition and sale of commercial real estate. On the development front, he has great depth of experience in drafting and negotiating CC&Rs for industrial/business parks and REAs for shopping centers. On the leasing front, Mr. Swanson is experienced in representing both landlords and tenants in industrial, office and retail leases. On the financing front, he has worked as counsel to both borrowers and lenders on all aspects of commercial loan transactions and work-outs.
Mr. Swanson is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of California, San Diego County Bar Association, International Council of Shopping Centers and Building Industry Association of San Diego County.
Educational History:
Mr. Swanson was educated at the University of San Diego, where he graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration in 1982, and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 1985. |
