Craig Johnson joined JMP Group, JMP Securities' parent company, in January 2002 and is JMP Group's President, a member of its executive committee and a member of its board of directors.
Craig is a founder of Saw Island Asset Management, a manager of investments in hedge funds and other alternative assets. Saw Island was acquired by JMP Asset Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of JMP Group, in January 2003. Craig previously spent twenty years, from 1980 through 2000, at Montgomery Securities, now Banc of America Securities, where he was most recently Director of Global Institutional Sales and a member of the firm's executive committee.
Craig is a member of the board of directors of Corticon Technology, a rules-based enterprise software platform for decision management. He also serves on the board of the San Francisco Zoo and is a trustee for the Woodside Priory School.
