Craig T. Elson is a senior managing director of LECG, and the managing director of LECG's Chicago office. He has had significant engagement management responsibility in connection with the economic, financial, accounting, and valuation aspects of commercial litigation, bankruptcy, professional liability, breach of contract, intellectual property, construction, regulated industry, and other matters. Mr. Elson has substantial prior testimonial experience, having rendered expert opinion testimony in both federal and state courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Mr. Elson has assisted law firms, and corporate clients operating in diverse industries (including telecommunications, transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, professional services, banking, retail, lodging, medical devices, and electronics, among others) throughout the United States, and abroad. Mr. Elson has experience performing business valuations, including substantial experience in connection with voidable transfer litigation in bankruptcy matters. In addition, he has evaluated and testified to lost profits and excessive cost determinations in commercial disputes. Mr. Elson has presented to the American Bar Association, the American Bankers Association, the American Intellectual Property Lawyers Association and others on bankruptcy as well as commercial damage claim quantification considerations.
Mr. Elson received a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a finance concentration, from Indiana University in 1979, and received a MBA from Indiana University in 1982 with concentration in finance and organizational development. Prior to joining LECG, Mr. Elson was a senior managing director in the Chicago office of Peterson Consulting (a unit of Navigant Consulting, Inc.) where he had oversight responsibilities relative to the financial and claims group's complex commercial claims practice area. |
