Curt Nonomaque is president and chief executive officer for VHA Inc.
Previously Nonomaque was executive vice president chief financial officer and treasurer. In that role Nonomaque was responsible for business operations for VHA but was also instrumental in the development of numerous VHA initiatives that have led to increased value for the membership including the creation of Novation and its e-commerce capability the ongoing development of VHA�s consulting and contract services units and the formation of HEALTHvision an Irving-based Internet company serving the health care industry.
Nonomaque joined VHA in 1986 as a financial analyst with VHA Enterprises and was named assistant treasurer of the subsidiary company in 1987. In August 1989 he was appointed vice president and treasurer for both VHA Inc. and VHA Enterprises. He spent the next two years selling businesses that were connected to VHA Enterprises helping the company improve its financial position and reduce the losses it absorbed as part of a managed care venture.
During this time Nonomaque also led efforts to convert VHA to a cooperative in order to create a tighter bond with member hospitals and a vehicle to deliver additional value to members.
In February 1992 he was promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer of VHA. He was promoted to executive vice president in March 1996.
Before joining VHA Nonomaque served as a banking officer for First City Bank in Dallas from 1985 to 1986. From 1983 to 1985 he was a management consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co.
Nonomaque serves on the board of VHA The VHA Health Foundation HEALTHvision Novation and HealthCare Purchasing Partners International LLC. He has served on the boards of Neoforma Solucient and is past president of the board of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas and past chairman of the board of AIDS Arms Inc. a local organization that provides case management and medical services to men women and children who have AIDS or HIV emphasizing outreach to African American and Hispanic communities. He has also served on the board of the Spanish Colonial Arts Society in Santa Fe N.M. and the Sage Theatre Group in Taos N.M.
Nonomaque received a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Baylor University in Waco Texas. He also holds a master�s degree in business administration from Baylor�s Hankamer School of Business. |
