Curt Gielow, a former hospital chief executive, is the president and owner of this national executive search firm. The firm, established in March 1990, has extensive experience in serving companies, organizations and associations in primarily service sector industries. The firm has special expertise in healthcare, non-profit associations, public assembly and legal recruiting.
Mr. Gielow holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis and served as a hospital pharmacist before becoming a hospital administrator. Mr. Gielow also holds a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration for the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. The majority of his hospital administration career was with Samaritan Health Service in Phoenix, Arizona where he held numerous positions in managing and developing facilities, services and programs, including the development of IPA�s, PPO�s and HMO�s. He consults in managed care development with physician and hospital organizations nationwide.
Beginning a career in executive search in 1977, Mr. Gielow has established several national and international operations in the field of recruitment and search consulting. An entrepreneur, Gielow Associates is the fifth company in the field of executive search that Mr. Gielow has founded or managed. For the period 1980-1985, Mr. Gielow was President of Whittaker International Services Company, managing and staffing seven hospitals in the Middle East. Curt has a collective 30 years of experience in healthcare management, executive search and management consulting.
Mr. Gielow is active in numerous civic, educational, church and professional organizations. Gielow has held elective office, serving as a local alderman for six years and a State Representative in the Wisconsin Legislature for four years. He also serves as the U.S. Midwest Regional Advisor for The Taplow Group, a consortium of global retained executive search firms providing human capital consulting to businesses worldwide.
