Cynda Ottaway�s practice focuses on estate planning, trust and estate administration and litigation, and planning for closely-held family businesses. She has experience in wealth transfer techniques and assists individuals and families with succession planning in the business context and other generational matters. Ms. Ottaway is a frequent speaker and writer, having most recently served as Co-Reporter for the ACTEC Commentaries on the Model Rules of Professional Conduct, Fourth Edition, 2006, and participated in several presentations on the ethical rules for estate planning and trust lawyers. She co-authored an article entitled What We Learned by Comparing the ACTEC Commentaries to NAELA's Aspirational Standards for the NAELA Journal which is a publication of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She also co-authored the Oklahoma Comments for the Oklahoma Uniform Prudent Investor Act and served as Oklahoma Editor for Drafting the Durable Power of Attorney. Ms. Ottaway has served in various leadership roles in The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) including service on the Board of Regents and as immediate past Chair of the Professional Responsibility Committee. She has served on several task forces involved in strategic planning for ACTEC and is serving on the Board of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Foundation.
