With over 35 years experience in building, advising and managing high growth companies in Korea, Dung Youn (D.Y.) Park has extensive experience in all aspects of strategic business development. As a Senior Executive Advisor to Noblemen Group, Mr. Park assists Noblemen Group clients in the establishment or expansion of their Korean-based business units, as well as assisting companies in the process of establishing multinational joint ventures involving already established Korean companies. Mr. Park also acts as an advisor to local Korean small to mid-cap companies in search of growth capital, strategic partners or distribution channels in foreign markets.
Mr. Park's experience includes the formation and management of several high profile companies in Korea and development of effective sales, service and distribution channels in the region. Mr. Park has served as President of several semiconductor related companies, including Akrion Korea Ltd, Tylan General Korea Ltd, and Lam Research Korea Ltd. Mr. Park also served as Director of Manufacturing at Du Pont Korea.
Most recently, as a consultant to Kinetics Fluid Systems, Mr. Park headed up the team that was responsible for the formation of a joint venture between the TRiMEGA consortium, (formed by Kinetics and Air Products) and Hanyang Technology, a highly respected company with a long and successful track record in the Korean Semiconductor Industry.
Prior to that, Mr. Park managed the incorporation of Akrion Korea where he served as President and where his extensive influential contacts and very strong business relationships lead to the development of a highly effective network with leading Korean Semiconductor manufacturers. Under Mr. Park's direction, Akrion was ultimately successful in penetrating this highly competitive market for advanced technology wafer cleaning systems.
As a consultant to Millipore Asia Ltd, Mr. Park was responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key Korean customers. In this capacity Mr. Park created and deployed several innovative strategies to build highly lucrative, multi-level contacts with Korean semiconductor device makers.
As President of Tylan General Korea, Mr. Park played a key role in the company's Global Executive Team. Mr. Park's vast experience and deep knowledge about what it takes to grow a profitable and successful business in Korea helped to guide the company as it quickly grew and took sizable market share from all of its major competitors. Under Mr. Park's strong leadership, Tylan General Korea went from nearly zero percent market share to over 25 percent market share in only three years. His operation was highly profitable and contributed significantly to Tylan General's overall success.
Before joining Tylan General Mr. Park served as President of Lam Research Korea Ltd, where he managed all administrative functions, built a powerful sales and field service organization and developed effective marketing strategies that resulted in a significant increased in Lam's Korean revenues and market share.
Mr. Park graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering at the Science and Engineering College of Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. He is an avid golfer who knows not to score lower than his customers and who is always happy to pay for drinks and dinner at the end of the day. |
