Dr. Jacobson joined SemEquip in August 2001. Prior to SemEquip, Dr. Jacobson was a member of the technical staff at Bell Laboratories for 22 years where he conducted independent research in high-energy ion implantation, diffusion of impurities in silicon and the physics of integrated circuit and optoelectronics processes. Dr. Jacobson supervised ion implantation processes in the research fabrication line at Bell Labs and represented AT&T/Lucent/Agere at Sematech. He is the holder of six patents in the fields of materials science, and electronic and optoelectronics device processing and has recently filed six additional patent applications. He is widely published in professional journals, has edited three books in the field of materials science, and has presented talks at dozens of professional societies and conferences.
