Dan Anbar oversees the statistical services provided by ClinPro, Inc. On a project level, he provides his expert statistical consulting and supervision, overall project direction and maintains client relationships. One of the founders of ClinPro, Dr. Anbar is instrumental in strategic planning, new business initiatives and development of business alliances for the company. With more than sixteen years experience in the pharmaceutical arena and twelve years in academia, his industry and expertise includes heading the statistics and data management operations worldwide for two major U.S. companies. Dr. Anbar has extensive experience in all phases of drug development, the preparation of New Drug Applications (NDAs) and interactions with the Federal Drug Administration (FDA). From 1987-1995, Dr. Anbar was employed by Schering-Plough and served as senior director and directed an organization of over 130 professionals involved in the simultaneous development of many new drug entities in multiple therapeutic areas before joining ClinPro, Inc. There, he also managed an annual operating budget of over $10 million, initiated and directed a multi-million dollar process, technology and organization re-engineering project, established and directed a unit for pharmaco-economic research and developed a non-clinical Biostatics group resulting in the improvement of design of formulation process development, the shortening of drug development time and the savings of millions of dollars. Dr. Anbar conducted research and taught at a number of distinguished universities such as Princeton University; University of California, Berkeley; Tel Aviv University, Israel; Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel; Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH; and at Mount Sinai Medical School, NYC. He has also completed medical research with a major teaching medical center in New York City. Dr. Anbar holds his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley and his Masters in Statistics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. He is a member of the American Statistical Association, Biometric Society, Drug and Information Association Society for Clinical Data Management, and has published more than 25 research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. |
