Daniel Kilbank is a visionary, scientific strategist and a serial entrepreneur. In forming Qbit, Mr. Kilbank converged his passions for technology and for the life sciences. Founding Qbit in 2001, Daniel envisioned the solution to the next data avalanche facing the entertainment, medical, defense and other industries, as the result of the collection, processing, integration, management, and interpretation of high definition content and high fidelity requirements. Understanding the shortcomings of existing solutions, he leveraged his extensive knowledge and counter-intuitive approach to bring an innovative new paradigm to encoding and decoding that has resulted in groundbreaking alternatives to the historical limitations of data compression. Mr. Kilbank has been working full-time on the technology for over four years. Daniel has served as Chairman and CEO of PortaVision, LLC, a research and development firm focusing on the life sciences and was a VP and Director of Technology for Broadband Residential. While at MCI WorldCom, Daniel led numerous multi-million dollar projects for the company. |
