Dan Klassen serves as director of e-learning solutions at Noel-Levitz. A pioneer in the use of technology to improve teaching and learning, he has been involved in all aspects of educational technology, from program design and evaluation to training and support. Dr. Klassen�s responsibilities include working with Enablearning, providers of a Web-based instructional system designed to help college students in developmental math courses.
Previous experience
Dr. Klassen offers 30 years of experience on a range of projects. As director of the Instructional Technology Initiative for the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, he helped develop online distance learning and technology programs for 150 institutions. He has created online courses for several universities. Dr. Klassen also founded a software design and development firm, producing award-winning software products for leading textbook and consumer software publishers.
Dr. Klassen has served as member of the faculty at Minnesota State University, The State University of New York at Stony Brook, and the University of Colorado, Denver. He was the director of academic computing and the Office of Educational Research at St. Olaf College (MN) and was a founding director of the Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium.
Education
Dr. Klassen earned his Ph.D. at the University of Iowa and attended the College Management Program at Carnegie-Mellon University. |
