Dan McCauley joined McCauley, Nicolas & Company, LLC in 1980, after college, and was admitted as a member in 1989. He currently serves on the firm's Executive Committee and is a much sought after member of the Tax Department.Industry Experience Dan's practice is concentrated in all aspects of federal, state and local taxation, and he lectures on tax matters at firm-sponsored events and for other organizations. In addition, he has extensive experience in business valuations as evidenced by his award of the Accredited Business Valuation (ABV) designation. In addition, he earned the Accredited Business Valuation (ABV) designation through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The ABV is the only credential in the field backed by the AICPA. This designation assures clients that his experience and grasp of the body of knowledge in this discipline grant him status as a premier strategic business advisor in valuation. Of the roughly 12,000 CPAs in Indiana and Kentucky, fewer than one percent have earned the ABV credential. rofessional and Community Activities Dan is chairman of the PKF North American Network Tax Strategies Committee and serves on its Tax Committee. PKF is an association of legally independent firms. His professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Indiana CPA Society. He is both a Greater Louisville, Inc. member and Focus Louisville alumnus.He currently serves on the Clark Memorial Hospital Foundation Board and has been involved in many community organizations throughout the years.
