Dan is a Vice President of Caterpillar Logistics Services Inc. and is responsible for a team of 200 experts in engineering, sales and marketing, business strategy, and transportation. The five divisions monitor industry changes, identify opportunities for alliances, support selling capability, and provide expert logistics solutions to clients worldwide. Dan joined Caterpillar in 1977 and has held several positions in parts and service marketing, with primary focuses on Europe and Africa. He also served as a product manager in the Remanufactured products program, prior to joining Cat Logistics in 1992. Dan has served in various leadership positions within Cat Logistics Services, with responsibility for the European region and the global automotive sector. Dan has served as a marketing instructor at Illinois Central College, and an external examiner and member of the curriculum development committee for the MSc. Logistics program at the University of Central England. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors (UK), the Institute of Logistics (UK) and the Council of Logistics Management (USA). Dan has a BS Degree in marketing and operations research from the University of Illinois at Urbana, and is a graduate of Management Program at the Wharton School. |
