Daniel C. Emerson
Profile
Dan Emerson is a partner in the Labor and Employment Group. Mr. Emerson has represented employers throughout the country both in labor and employment matters as well as litigation, and has considerable experience in trade secret matters. He has been an attorney since 1979 and a partner in the firm since 1985. After graduating from Macalester College, Mr. Emerson attended law school at Indiana University - Bloomington, where he served as managing editor of the Indiana Law Journal. Mr. Emerson is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State, American, Federal and Seventh Circuit Bar Associations, and is a past Chairman of both the Indiana State and Indianapolis Bar Associations' Labor and Employment Law Sections. He also serves as an adjunct professor of personnel law at Indiana University - Indianapolis.

Mr. Emerson has written numerous articles and lectured extensively on current labor and employment issues, including avoiding and resolving disputes, complying with laws such as the American with Disabilities Act, wage and hour issues, employee monitoring and surveillance, sexual harassment, and creating effective employee manuals. His articles have appeared in publications such as the Indianapolis Business Journal, Indiana Business Magazine, and the publications of the Indiana Manufacturers' Association and the American Bar Association. He has also lectured extensively to groups of CEOs, bar associations, continuing education seminars, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and the Indiana Bankers Association.
