Daniel F. Hopp was named senior vice president, corporate affairs and general counsel in March 1998.
Hopp joined the company as an attorney in 1979. He was promoted to assistant secretary and legal counsel in April 1984 and to corporate secretary and assistant general counsel in October 1985. He was elected corporate vice president, general counsel and secretary in June 1989. Prior to joining Whirlpool, Hopp practiced law with the firm of Mayer, Brown and Platt in Chicago.
A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Hopp earned a bachelor�s degree in English from the University of Michigan in 1969 and a juris doctor degree from Wayne State University in 1973, where he graduated summa cum laude. |
