Walseth was employed for eight years by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Lutheran Brotherhood Fraternal Benefit Society. At Thrivent, he served as vice president and senior associate general counsel; at Lutheran Brotherhood, he served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Prior to Thrivent and Lutheran Brotherhood, Walseth served in senior positions at Hartford Life Insurance Companies for nearly 21 years.
Walseth holds a J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota, and a B.A. degree from St. Olaf College. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter and a Chartered Financial Consultant from American College. Walseth is a member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Association of Life Insurance Counsel and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. |
