Daniel Cloherty is a partner at Dwyer & Collora, concentrating his practice on both civil and criminal litigation in the state and federal courts, as well as proceedings before various regulatory bodies, including the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. Cloherty�s civil practice involves the representation of businesses and executives in complex business disputes, including matters involving breaches of contracts, breaches of fiduciary duties, employment defense, theft of trade secrets, and shareholder litigation. Mr. Cloherty also regularly represents media organizations in cases implicating First Amendment interests and the federal copyright laws.
Mr. Cloherty�s government investigation and white collar criminal defense practice has included representation of businesses and individuals in investigations and trials involving allegations of securities violations, health care fraud, bank and mail fraud, bribery, embezzlement, and obstruction of justice.
Before joining Dwyer & Collora in 1999, Mr. Cloherty was an associate at Miller, Cassidy, Larroca & Lewin, LLP, of Washington, D.C. He previously served as a law clerk to the Hon. Dolores K. Sloviter of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and to the Hon. Wm. Matthew Byrne, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. In 2002-2003, Mr. Cloherty served as a Special Assistant Federal Defender in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

He serves as the Chair of Firm�s Pro Bono Committee and is a Member of Firm�s Ethics Committee.
