Daniel J. Frate is an Executive Vice President of National City Corporation. In this role he is responsible for the branch network Direct Lending Deposits Retail Services Direct Banking Credit Card Insurance Customer Strategy and Channel Management.
Mr. Frate began his career with National City in 2003.
Prior to joining National City Mr. Frate served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Bank One Card Services at the time the third largest bankcard provider in the world. Starting in 2001 Mr. Frate was responsible for the day-to-day management of the business. His experience of more than 20 years in the banking industry includes serving as President of U.S. Bancorp�s payment systems business and as the company�s senior consumer risk officer. In addition Mr. Frate held the position of Vice Chairman and served as a member of U.S. Bancorp�s Operating Committee. He was instrumental in building U.S. Bancorp�s fast-growing payment systems business which included Corporate and Purchasing Cards as well as Consumer Credit and merchant acquiring businesses. Mr. Frate has also held various credit technology and service management positions with Citicorp.
He has a bachelor�s degree in economics from John Carroll University and a master�s degree in finance from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University. |
