Mr. Martin's practice includes complex commercial matters, employment disputes, environmental claims, public utility regulation, administrative law, and appellate law. Mr. Martin has successfully represented clients in Michigan's Circuit Courts, Court of Appeals, and Supreme Court, in federal courts, and in various alternative dispute resolution forums.

Mr. Martin's experience includes representation of:
employers, in matters involving claims of discrimination, wrongful discharge, violations of Whistleblowers' Protection Act, breach of contract, non-competition agreements, and trade secrets;
private companies, in a wide range of matters, including complex commercial disputes, fraud, tortious interference, breach of contract, antitrust practices, environmental contamination, breach of warranty; and
public utility companies, in matters involving regulatory compliance, franchise and local government consent requirements, and issues relating to rates.

City of Taylor v Detroit Edison Co., 475 Mich 109 (2006), declaring local government's attempted regulation of public utilities outside local government's constitutional authority (counsel for public utility company filing as amicus in support of Detroit Edison)
Cluley v Lansing Board of Water & Light, 2006 WL 551351, per curiam opinion of the Michigan Court of Appeals, affirming trial court's order granting defendant employer summary disposition of claims for sex discrimination under the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, tortious interference with a contract, and breach of contract
