Dan Ardila joined Algoma Steel in April 2006 as vice president finance and chief financial officer. Mr. Ardila came to Algoma from CPI Plastics Group Ltd. where, for nine years, he held the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to CPI Plastics, Mr. Ardila was employed as chief financial officer of Xela Enterprises Ltd. Xela is a privately held, family operated, international company in various industries including food service, food processing, agriculture and high tech communications. The company operates in several countries including Canada, United States, Russia, Poland, Mexico and Latin America. Mr. Ardila earned his chartered accountant designation with KPMG in 1989 and graduated from Ryerson University in 1987 with a bachelor of business management degree. He has 19 years of experience in senior executive positions and public accounting. In his role, Mr. Ardila assumes accountability for ensuring Algoma�s financial systems and processes support the needs of the business by providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis. In addition, he will contribute to the development and execution of the Company�s strategic growth plans. He is based at Algoma�s steelworks in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. |
