Daniel L. Montgomery is the Corporate Lead Executive for the Huntsville region, and sector vice president and deputy general manager for the Tactical Systems Division (TSD) under the Mission Systems sector. Mr. Montgomery also serves as program manager for the Counter-Rocket, Artillery and Mortar (C-RAM) program. Previously, Mr. Montgomery was sector vice president and program manager for the Kinetic Energy Interceptors program (KEI).
As CLE, Mr. Montgomery oversees and coordinates all of Northrop Grumman�s activities in support of the Army Space & Missile Defense Command and the Army Aviation & Missile Command.
As sector vice president and program manager of KEI, Mr. Montgomery oversaw the $4.5 billion, eight year Kinetic Energy Interceptors program. As prime contractor, Northrop Grumman leads a team that will develop and test a mobile land-based kinetic energy boost/ascent phase interceptor element for MDA�s global layered ballistic missile defense system.
Mr. Montgomery joined Northrop Grumman in 1999 as director of the Air and Missile Defense market area. He continues to work toward the development, production, fielding and sustainment of defense systems that will provide for both the protection of our homeland, as well as for the protection of our troops deployed around the world.
Prior to coming to Northrop Grumman, Mr. Montgomery served 32 years in the U.S. Army, retiring with the rank of brigadier general. Brigadier General Montgomery held many senior management and leadership roles including the U.S. Army�s Senior Acquisition Executive for Air and Missile Defense Systems.
