Dr. Daniel Sullivan serves as executive vice president of Human Resources for QUALCOMM Incorporated. In this role Dr. Sullivan has direct responsibility for all human resources functions at QUALCOMM including: organization planning compensation benefits learning employee relations corporate giving staffing and leadership development for the Company's 8 000+ employees worldwide.
Dr. Sullivan joined the Company as director of Human Resources in April 1992. He was promoted to vice president of Human Resources in February 1994 to senior vice president in February 1996 and to executive vice president in August 2001. Prior to joining QUALCOMM Dr. Sullivan served in senior human resources management roles at leading companies in the technology sector.
Dr. Sullivan holds a Ph.D. in organization communication from the University of Nebraska. He also holds bachelor of science and master of arts degrees in communication from Illinois State University and West Virginia University respectively.
Dr. Sullivan currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the San Diego State University Foundation and as an Advisory Board member for the Foundation for the Improvement of Math and Science (FIMSE) UC San Diego's School of Engineering Corporate Affiliate Board the National Academy of Science's Research Roundtable and San Diego State University's Center for Entrepreneurial Studies (EMC).
