Daniel R. McCune is a shareholder at Kennedy & Christopher, P.C. in Denver, Colorado. He is a 1980 Phi Beta Kappa graduate from University of Kansas. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas in 1983. Following graduation from law school, he served five years as a lawyer in the Army Judge Advocate General's Corps where he held positions as prosecutor, chief prosecutor and criminal law instructor. In 1988, he joined Kennedy Childs & Fogg, P.C. Mr. McCune's practice focuses on complex civil litigation, business planning, risk management, professional malpractice litigation (including medical and legal malpractice claims), employment law, and representing insurance companies and agencies. Dan is a frequent lecturer on medical and legal malpractice topics and other topics in his areas of practice. He is the past president of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association and the Board of Directors for the DRI, a 23,000 member, national organization of attorneys who represent defendants in civil litigation. Dan is also a member of the Colorado Bar Association Lawyers Professional Liability Committee, the DRI Medical Malpractice Committee, the DRI Professional Liability Committee, and the DRI Product Liability Committee.
