Daniel R. Weiss serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer for Infrastruct Security, Inc., a leading critical infrastructure and convergent security solutions integrator. Daniel graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991, and attended graduate school at Northeastern in Boston. Soon after, Dan joined the sales team at Wells Fargo Alarm Services and over the next two years, rose to become one of Wells Fargo�s top sales producers. In 1996, Wells Fargo moved Dan to Phoenix where he was promoted to General Manager, becoming the youngest GM in company history at the age of 25. Dan later moved back to Houston and took a job as Sales Manager for Chubb Security. Dan left Chubb in 1997 and started Engineered Protection Systems (EPS), a small self-funded company that soon grew to be one of the largest commercial/industrial companies in Houston. EPS was sold in 2001 to Sonitrol, a subdivision of Tyco. Daniel funded General Cabling Solutions (GCS) in 2002, an IT Infrastructure company focused on commercial/industrial marketplace. Daniel understood that it was important to take a leadership position in the convergence between IT and security. In 2006, Dan founded Infrastruct Security, Inc., which absorbed GCS, and formed the new venture to be the leading provider of unique, turnkey security solutions specifically designed for both large- to mid-sized commercial and industrial sites. Daniel Weiss serves on the board of Crimestoppers and is President Elect of the Young Entrepreneurs Houston Chapter. He is also an active member of the Energy Security Council and American Society for Industrial Security. |
