Mr. Young recently retired from FDC after serving the company in various executive capacities for more than two decades. He joined FDC in 1976 as the Executive Vice President, and in 1985, was elected President, and Chief Operating Officer. Following the acquisition in 1995 of FDC by The Carlyle Group, Mr. Young assumed the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. In 1998, he was elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Before joining FDC, Mr. Young was an executive with Data Transmission Company. He ultimately became Executive Vice President, and prior to that held various engineering, sales, and management positions at Texas Instruments, Inc. He also served in the U.S. Navy as a sea officer. Mr. Young is a graduate of the University of Texas where he earned a B.S. Degree in engineering and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. |
