Dan Hess has a proven track record of helping small businesses, Fortune 500 clients, individuals and even communities resolve people issues. Enabling them to align human capital and systems to work hand-in-hand, his work has led to improved performance and greater effectiveness. His background in human behavior and systems has also contributed to his success in performance coaching and conflict resolution.
As the leader of the LMA Family Business Services team, he works with these organizations to address their unique challenges. Applying his extensive experience in understanding human behavior at all levels, he works with family businesses of all sizes to improve their performance in the workplace and within their family environment. Dan puts that same understanding of human behavior and motivation to work in his performance coaching, augmenting it with his strong background in psychology.
Dan's strong commitment to community service has led him to share his gifts with communities around the world. In 1997, he took his mediation and conflict resolution skills to Eastern Europe, where he volunteered for three years on a peace-building mission in regions emerging into self government. Dividing his time among areas in Russia, Albania and Serbia, he worked to resolve interethnic conflicts, coordinated humanitarian and refugee relief efforts and helped develop a regional peace-building network. He returned to LMA Consulting Group in 2000, enriched and transformed by these real-world experiences. Having helped resolve deep-seated conflicts and assist entire communities deal with historic change, Dan now assists businesses of all sizes effectively integrate people and systems to enable improved performance quality.
Dan Hess is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work and is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. He has completed postgraduate work at the Georgetown Family Center of Georgetown University.
