Daniel Phillips has over 16 years of experience in the healthcare industry with a vast array of knowledge in finance, budgeting, accounting and operations. In 2005, he joined Healthfirst as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer assuming all responsibility for all aspects of financial operations and accounting, treasury and cash management, financial reporting, planning and budget and internal control activities of the organization.
Prior to joining Healthfirst, Daniel was the Senior Vice President of Performance Management and Restructuring at Magellan Health Services, Inc. where he led the restructuring of various business units that generated administrative cost savings initiatives of greater than 20%. Before joining Magellan Health Services, Mr. Phillips was with Kaiser Permanente as Controller and Director of Accounting covering the Central East division, Mid-Atlantic and Ohio regions. While at Kaiser, Mr. Phillips moved to the Ohio region from near the bottom to the top performer in several key financial areas. Other accomplishments and responsibilities throughout his career included: improved performance and reducing costs across various companies, implementing financial systems to support current and future needs and establishing a revenue and care accounting process to support new products. |
