As Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Borders Group, Dan is responsible for leading all human resources functions, including staffing, training, labor relations, benefits, compensation systems, payroll and employee communications.
Dan joined Borders Group in 1995 as Director of Compensation and Benefits and went on to become Vice President of Human Resources for Waldenbooks, before taking on his current role.
Prior to joining Borders Group, Dan spent nine years at The May Department Stores Company, where he served in several capacities, including merchandising, store operations and human resources.
A BA recipient from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dan went on to get his MA in human resources management from Washington University in St. Louis. He serves on advisory boards for Aetna, Brass Ring, and serves as the Chairman of the Client Advisory Council for Merrill Lynch. |
