Daniel W. Butler is president, U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC), the world�s largest manufacturer and marketer of smokeless tobacco. He joined the company as executive vice president and general manager in 2004 with responsibility for sales, marketing, strategic analysis and financial planning.
Prior to joining USSTC, Mr. Butler was executive vice president and general manager of Kraft Foods� $4 billion Nabisco Biscuit Division, responsible for such brands as Oreo, Chips Ahoy!, Triscuit, Ritz, Wheat Thins, and Honey Maid.
Mr. Butler joined Kraft in 1987 as assistant product manager and over his career there directly managed a number of key categories including ready-to-eat desserts, shelf-stable snacks and Kraft Dinners product lines. In 1998, he was appointed vice president of marketing and strategy for the Meals division, and from 2000 to 2002 he was executive vice president and general manager of Kraft Canada.
Mr. Butler holds a bachelor�s degree from Lehigh University and a master�s in business administration from the Harvard Business School. |
