Danny Branch is Vice President of Information Technology (IT) and has more than 22 years of experience in systems development, deployment and support. He is responsible for all information technology related activities for the Falcons, Georgia Force, and all other businesses in the Blank Family of Businesses.
Since joining the organization, Danny has also contributed in areas beyond IT. In 2005, under Branch's oversight and guidance, the Falcons launched their retail arm - Falcons 365. The first retail store was opened in July, 2005 at Perimeter Mall, followed shortly by the opening of the second store in October, 2005 at Lenox Mall. The new online store - Falcons365.com - was launched in August, 2005. With the 2007 season, all retail outlets at the Georgia Dome on game day will be managed and operated by Falcons 365. The Falcons 365 retail outlets extend the fan experience by offering a "one-stop shop" for Falcons and Force merchandise.
Branch joined the Falcons in 2004 from The Home Depot, where he most recently was Vice President of Information Services. Starting at The Home Depot in 1990 as a senior systems engineer, he was promoted rapidly through the engineering and ultimately, the information services management ranks. While at The Home Depot, Danny partnered with NCR to be the first home improvement retailer to implement and deploy self check-out. He also developed and deployed Home Depot's current gift card program, which replaced their previous paper based gift certificate program.
Prior to The Home Depot, Danny worked in programming, engineering and project management roles for CONTEL, Management Science America, and Texas Instruments.
A Georgia product, Danny earned his associate degree in mathematics from Abraham Baldwin Junior College (Tifton, GA.). He received his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Georgia and completed an advanced leadership development program at the Babson School of Executive Education (Babson Park, Mass.). Branch is active in the community and currently serves on the board of the Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
