Dario was entrepreneur in the construction industry for many years and also spent 7 years as a planning and financial officer for Idema, a public company with a $300M budget that was deployed to promote the development of agriculture in rural areas and to normalize Colombian food and raw material supplies through crop purchases and imports.
In 1992, Dario was honoured to be designated as Colombia�s representative on a United Nations panel investigating privatisation of state companies that was held in Manila, Philippines.
Dario�s work as an economic researcher for Colombia�s Agriculture Union is highly respected and has resulted in numerous published articles in various trade journals and periodicals.
Dario obtained a degree in Economic Science in 1983 from Universidad de los Andes in Bogot, and MA degree in Monetary Policy in 1986 also from Universidad de los Andes. |
