Ms. DeMasters joined Wisconsin Electric (doing business as We Energies) in 1998 as manager - Federal Government Affairs in the Washington, D.C. office. In May 2003, she was appointed assistant vice president - Federal Policy and vice president in October 2005.
Prior to joining Wisconsin Electric, she worked for two other investor-owned electric utilities in Washington, D.C., representing their interests before Congress, federal agencies and trade associations. She served as a legislative and political consultant to Duquesne Light Company and as Manager of Federal Government Affairs for General Public Utilities and its subsidiaries. Prior to joining the electric utility industry, Ms. DeMasters worked for a United States Senator in Washington, D.C.
Ms. DeMasters is a graduate of Mary Washington College in Virginia and holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology. She is a former member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, where she held several positions.
