Daryl K. Granner, M.D. is the Joe C. Davis Professor of Biomedical Sciences and of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Granner served as Chairman of Molecular Physiology Biophysics and of Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University (1984-1998). He also served as a faculty member at the University of Iowa, where he directed the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes and the Iowa Diabetes Center. Dr. Granner is an acknowledged authority in the mechanism of insulin action and the pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus. Dr. Granner has been a Director of the Corporation since September 1996 and a scientific consultant since 1992. |
