COMPANY ROLE
Dave Martin is in charge of planning, installing, and maintaining the Blackfoot networks that carry corporate data, customer data, and wireless data. He also oversees the company�s operational software and its Internet service operation. In short Dave is Blackfoot�s information guru. Equally important, Dave looks into the future and helps keep Blackfoot two steps ahead by finding the most advanced technology and placing it at the service of the company�s customers.
BACKGROUND
Dave has always been ahead of the curve. His previous job at Blackfoot included the creation of Western Montana�s first digital wireless network. Before Blackfoot, Dave was employed at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, where he worked on one of the first versions of ATM switching and led a team that established new standards for ISDN. He also developed electrical-to-optical converters for digital phone services and created a universal hostage negotiations communications system. Dave started his tech career in 1969 at the Bell Systems and progressed through several positions, eventually becoming a special projects installer.
INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES
Dave is an amateur musician, an avid traveler, and a dedicated fisherman. He enjoys playing a variety of sports and displaying miniature collector toys throughout his office. |
