Dave Schlotterbeck is chief executive officer of Pharmaceutical and Medical Products and is responsible for three of the four Cardinal Health business segments: Clinical Technologies and Services (CTS) Medical Products Manufacturing (MPM) and Pharmaceutical Technologies and Services (PTS). Schlotterbeck leads an organization of approximately 23 000 employees and $6 billion in revenues.
Prior to assuming his current position in July 2006 Schlotterbeck was chief executive officer for the Clinical Technologies and Services business segment of Cardinal Health with responsibility for the company�s patient point-of-care strategy and key supporting products and services including the Alaris� Products Pyxis� Products and Pharmacy Services organizations.
Schlotterbeck also had interim responsibility for all of the Cardinal Health businesses outside of North America.
Schlotterbeck was previously a director president and chief executive officer of ALARIS Medical Systems. He joined ALARIS Medical Systems on April 19 1999 as president and chief operating officer. ALARIS was acquired by Cardinal Health in the summer of 2004.
Prior to ALARIS Schlotterbeck was president and chief operating officer of Pacific Scientific Company from 1997 to March 1998 a former NYSE-traded company before it was acquired by Danaher Corporation in March 1998. Pacific Scientific was an international manufacturer of motion control process measurement and safety products. From 1995 to 1997 he was president and chief executive officer of Vitalcom Inc. a medical network manufacturer. From 1991 to 1994 Schlotterbeck was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Nellcor Inc. a medical device manufacturer subsequently acquired by Mallinckrodt Inc.
Schlotterbeck is a graduate of the General Motors Institute with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and completed the Executive Institute at Stanford University in 1984. |
