Overseeing software and hardware development at Panasas, Dave brings more than 25 years of experience to his role of Vice President of Software Engineering. Before joining the company, he held management positions at Transarc Corporation (which was acquired by IBM in 1994) where he was responsible for the software development organization developing the IBM distributed file system products and WebSphere Edge Server. He also oversaw senior technical staff with the dedicated mission of exploring new product opportunities. There he kept a focus on emerging technologies in NAS, SAN and file system appliances. In this capacity, Dave worked with other IBM labs to drive technology strategies within the IBM Corporation. Prior to this Dave has held software development and application engineering positions at ALGOR Interactive Systems, MCS Inc, and Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
Dave holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh. |
