David Wickersham was promoted to the position of president in September 2006, retaining the title of chief operating officer, a position to which he was promoted in April 2004. Wickersham holds responsibility for Seagate's product development organization and global disk drive manufacturing operations as well as the materials, recording media, recording heads and supply chain organizations.
Prior to holding the roles of president and COO, Wickersham was Seagate's executive vice president of Global Disk Storage Operations, a position to which he was appointed in June 2000. He has over three decades of experience in the storage industry and came to Seagate from Maxtor in 1998. Wickersham has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University. |
