Prior to joining StemCyte, David Carmel was a manager in Pfizer s Planning & Business Development group and worked in marketing at Independence Technology, a Johnson & Johnson Company. In the 2004 election cycle, he worked on the California Stem Cell and Cures Initiative (Prop 71), a $3 billion bond issue passed by 59% of Californians. He is a former White House Fellow to the Secretary of the Treasury in Washington and a co-founder of Jumpstart for Young Children. He earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Harvard College. He is a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a board member of the New York Stem Cell Foundation, the East Harlem School, and the New York State Spinal Cord Injury Research Board. |
