David A. Chase is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Silicon Valley office. He is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department.
While in law school, David was a senior notes and comments editor of the U.C. Davis Law Review as well as a staff editor for the U.C. Davis Business Law Journal. He also authored a note entitled "Clingman v. Beaver: Shifting Power from the Parties to the States," 40 U.C. Davis L. Rev. 1935 (2007). After his first year of law school, he worked as a law clerk for a Nevada law firm specializing in civil and trial law. While there, he researched questions of law and fact regarding trademarks, bankruptcy, trusts, business torts and real estate development contracts.
Prior to law school he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Janet Berry of the Second Judicial District Court of Reno, Nevada.
David is admitted to practice in California.
