David A. Ferris, President and Founder of Searchco, received an Executive Juris Doctorate from the Concord University School of Law, in Los Angeles, CA, as well as B.S. in General Management, and M.B.A. degrees from Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH.
Mr. Ferris began his private sector career in the automotive industry as a Field Representative performing dealer audits, and transitioned to the computer industry, initially in sales. As a top sales performer, he was quickly promoted through the ranks to General Manager, and earned a reputation as a turnaround expert by getting non-performing business units back on track, transforming them into top nationwide performers in terms of sales and profitability by hiring and training great employees. Over the years, he did this several times, repeated the process with a competing company, and then assisted in the merger of both companies.
He managed one of the largest computer assembly and configuration distribution plants in the United States for GE Capital IT Solutions North America, Inc, a unit of General Electric, NYSE-GE. He was the Lead Project Manager on the configuration aspects of one of the largest IT distribution outsourcing agreements ever, ($6 billion over three years), between GE Capital IT Solutions North America, a leader in the design, creation, and management of IT infrastructure, and Tech Data Corporation, NASDAQ-TECD, a worldwide leader in IT logistics, distribution, and e-commerce. He has helped numerous Fortune 500 companies and government agencies manage their IT infrastructure through outsourcing. In addition to his skills as a capable manager and a leader, Mr. Ferris is skilled putting together winning business proposals in complex business transactions.
Throughout his entire career, Mr. Ferris has worked with C-Level executives across a number of industries to understand their business issues and challenges. In the process, he developed a knack for putting together winning business proposals and hiring great talent.
Mr. Ferris resides in the Detroit suburb of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan with his wife, Andrea, and their three children. |
