~David Juengel joined MMI as Chief Financial Officer in December 1998, bringing 16 years of financial and accounting administration experience with him to the new position. Most recently, Mr. Juengel served as CFO for U.S. Zinc Corporation, a company with over $170 million in annual sales. He also worked for Proler International Corporation for nine years, his last position being Vice President and Treasurer. Throughout his career, Mr. Juengel has had finance, accounting, management and administrative responsibilities. He has directed accounting and treasury functions, maximizing company earnings through the investment of excess funds, by reducing bank fees and accelerating collections. He has organized, prepared and reviewed federal and state income tax returns, as well as various SEC reports. Mr. Juengel has also provided expertise and support on issues related to acquisition, reorganization, liquidations and mergers. His public accounting experience with Coopers and Lybrand and Arthur Young included work with multi-national manufacturers, oil and gas, healthcare, chemical, real estate, auto dealerships, construction and professional service corporations. Mr. Juengel has selected, developed and motivated a staff of over 40 employees who provide diverse accounting, financial and administrative services. His management and administrative responsibilities include administrative compliance with state and federal laws, evaluating internal quality control processes, and overseeing risk management functions. He has also been accountable for several computer conversions. Mr. Juengel earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Houston, Clear Lake, Texas and a B.S. in Accounting (Cum Laude) from Central Michigan University. He is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Houston Chapter of that organization. |
