David Spencer founded wTe in 1981 and served as its president until 2002. He led the company s entry into the waste-to-energy field in the 1980s, and later also guided the company into the recycling business. Today, David is the architect and leader of two new technology ventures for the company: Spectramet LLC and Melt Cognition LLC. Both ventures are pioneering new methodologies for high-value metals identification and sortation. Prior to joining wTe, he was employed by Raytheon and part of a team of three that founded that company s waste-to-energy business. David has a B.S. from Lafayette College and also holds an Sc.D. in metallurgy and materials science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. |
