David Merritt has been a director of Outdoor Channel Holdings since December 2003. He is the board's designated Financial Expert and Audit Committee Chairman. Mr. Merritt brings three decades of entertainment industry, accounting and corporate finance experience to Outdoor Channel Holdings. He currently serves as a director of Charter Communications, Inc. and is the Managing Director at Salem Partners LLC, an investment banking firm. In 2001, he founded and ran through 2003 Gerard Klauer Mattison's Entertainment Media Advisory Group, which focused on financial advisory services to the entertainment and media industries. From 1999 to 2000, he served as Chief Financial Officer of CKE Associates, Ltd., a privately held company with interests in talent management, film production, television production, music and new media. Among his many leadership posts during a 14-year career at KPMG LLP, Mr. Merritt served as the National Partner-in-Charge of the Media Entertainment Practice from 1989 to 1999. He is a former director of Laser-Pacific Media Corporation, which was acquired in October 2003 by Eastman Kodak Company. Mr. Merritt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting from California State University at Northridge.
