David C. Van Dyke is a partner in the firm's Chicago office. Mr. Van Dyke is engaged in the practice of civil litigation with a primary emphasis on products liability, intellectual property, commercial disputes and professional liability matters involving pharmacists, medical doctors and dentists. Mr. Van Dyke has substantial trial experience with litigation matters in both Federal and state court. He represents medical doctors and dentists before the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
Mr. Van Dyke is a registered patent attorney. In addition to litigating complex products liability and professional liability matters, Mr. Van Dyke has represented litigants in intellectual property cases involving biotechnological, mechanical, chemical, and pharmaceutical issues. He has litigation experience in the areas of patent, trademark and copyright infringement.
Mr. Van Dyke is a Registered Pharmacist. His education and experience in pharmacy has been useful in many areas of litigation. His knowledge of pharmaceuticals has been utilized in products liability matters involving medications. Mr. Van Dyke has also used his chemistry background in products liability cases involving chemical reactions ranging from explosions to toxic exposure.
Additionally, Mr. Van Dyke's pharmacy background has proven to be extremely valuable in his representation of physicians, dentists, pharmacists and hospitals in professional liability cases.
