Dave Kirkman practices in the areas of business and commercial law, with an emphasis on commercial real estate, which includes development, leasing, financing, acquisition and disposition. Typical projects include market and affordable rental housing; single and multi-family residential; office; retail; and industrial. This practice area has required a depth of expertise in municipal land use disputes, ownership entity structuring, creative financing, tax planning and governance. Dave is an Adjunct Professor of Law in Commercial Real Estate at William Mitchell College of Law, and is a member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association, and the Building Owners and Managers Association. Dave has repeatedly been listed as a "Super Lawyer" in Real Estate by Minnesota Law and Politics. Dave is a 1975 graduate with high honors of St. Cloud State University and a 1979 Magna Cum Laude graduate of William Mitchell College of Law.
