David oversees all corporate accounting and information technology functions and works collaboratively with controllers from the various business segments of the Carl M. Freeman Companies. Prior to being named CFO, David served as Vice President of Finance and Administration for the company�s Community Development and Homebuilding business segment, and was responsible for directing the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as cultivating its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community. As a member of the management team, David shared an important role in policy formulation and management execution of both short-term and long-term plans. During his tenure with the Freeman Companies, revenues have grown 415%. Prior to joining the Freeman Companies in 2000 as the Director of Finance, David worked for Marriott International/Host Marriott Corporation as Area Director of Finance in Walnut Creek, CA and then as Vice President of Operations Finance in Bethesda, MD. Earlier in his career, he worked for the Anheuser-Busch Companies as Productivity Manager for Busch Gardens in Tampa, New Business Analyst for the company�s Exploration Cruise Lines and then as a Senior Business Analyst for Busch Entertainment Corporation. David earned his master�s of business administration in finance from St. Louis University and his bachelor�s degree in marketing from the University of South Florida (Tampa, FL). David is currently serving on the board of directors for Bayside, a soon-to-be 1,600 home community. He previously served a two-year term as president of the 700-home Village at Bear Trap Homeowners� Association. |
