With twenty years of experience in test and measurement development, David Kreiss is one of the world's foremost experts in the field of power quality analysis. Mr. Kreiss co-authored The Dranetz Field Handbook for Power Quality Analysis and is widely published in the areas of power quality, energy analysis, substation instrumentation, protective relay testing, and artificial intelligence. His company, Kreiss Johnson Technologies, develops software for the power quality industry, including the power quality analysis system, Ai*Power, and PowerCenter, substation data management and analysis software.
Before KJT, Mr. Kreiss was the VP of Engineering and Marketing at Dranetz Technologies, where he led the company in product specification and technology transfer. He was also the Director of Technology at Fitzgerald and Company, an industrial economic consulting firm, where he developed leading-edge forecasting software used by Wall Street.
Mr. Kreiss is an active member of the IEEE Societies for Power Engineering, Computers, and Industrial Applications, the IEEE SCC22 Standards Committee, the Distribution Voltage Quality Working Group, the Substation Automation Working Group, and the 519A Power Harmonics Task Force. His education includes a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut and an MBA from American University in Washington, DC. |
