David I. Tanenbaum has a general transactional practice, including advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, debt financing, exploitation of technology, and employment matters. Mr. Tanenbaum's recent transactions include representation of a major investment firm in connection with the disposition by an investee of substantially all of its assets pursuant to Section 365 of the Bankruptcy Code; representation of a buy-out firm in connection with its portfolio acquisition of an entity in the financial information industry; representation of a start-up Internet venture devoted to reporting on political and world affairs in connection with its organization, seed financing, intellectual property concerns, and management arrangements; numerous acquisitions and divestitures of telecommunications assets and businesses; and, as a member of the firm's Executive Employment Practice Group, representation of an individual regarding the grant to him of a limited liability company interest in, and his employment arrangement with, a real estate finance company.
Mr. Tanenbaum graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University in 1992 and received his law degree in 1995 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was Executive Editor of the Journal of International Business Law.
