David Gilberg joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1992 and has been a partner since 1996, after serving as Special Counsel from 1994 to 1995. His practice involves a broad range of securities and derivatives-related regulatory and transactional matters. He has worked extensively on the electronic trading of securities, derivatives and other financial instruments, and has established a number of electronic exchanges and trading facilities. He regularly advises broker-dealers, commercial banks, investment banks, trading companies, trading advisers, corporations and other types of clients on a variety of trading and regulatory issues and on the structuring and development of financial instruments and managed trading vehicles. He has authored several articles on derivatives and has spoken at numerous derivatives industry conferences.
